The Little Writer

This activity is fun and it also helps your toddler to improve his fine motor skills and more.

Give a plain piece of paper and a large non-toxic crayon to your toddler
Show your toddler how to hold the crayon
Let your toddler scribble and encourage him or her to use different colors
Each time your toddler picks a different color, say aloud the color so that he or she can learn
 
Although your toddler may not be able to write alphabets, draw a picture or shade colors properly, do not scold or pressure him or her Instead, encourage him or her positively to continue scribbling with different colors
 
This activity will help improve your toddler's fine motor skills, imagination, language and memory of colors
